Pro Import AE lives in the After Effects' Import submenu. Choose the XML file from Final Cut Pro. You can choose your Field Separation. Click Open. Import is fast, even complex sequences come into AE in just seconds. Pro Import AE connects After Effects to the FCP media. When finished, Pro Import AE leaves the comp for us to open. All the Final Cut Pro clips become separate After Effects layers. Constant speed changes become stretches. FCP time remapping translates to After Effects time remapping. Third Party After Effects filters used in FCP are applied to layers in After Effects. Keyframes too! FCP text generators become After Effects text layers. Text layers are live text layers, you can adjust their style in AE. Position and scale information translates, crop and feather too. The parameters can change, allowing you great flexibility. and if you have handles on your media you can slip and slide shots in AE.
